CV:

Assoc Prof Dan Podjed, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Institute of Slovenian Ethnology, Associate Professor at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Arts, and a Field Expert and Director’s Advisor at the Institute for Innovation and Development of the University of Ljubljana. Podjed is also the founder and Executive Advisor of the EASA Applied Anthropology Network and initiator of the international symposium Why the World Needs Anthropologists, which has been held annually since 2013. His research focuses on isolation, human-technology interactions, sustainable lifestyles and the epistemology of everyday life. His most recent book project, Crisolation, which consists of a scientific monograph and a dystopian novel, has gained significant acclaim in Slovenia and has been well-received by both the academic and general public.
